Privacy Policy
Typikon is made by Typikon Studios. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. The short version is that we don't collect your name, email, location, or contacts, and we don't track you or sell data.
Information that stays on your device
Your fasting check-ins, notes, streaks, calendar preference, text size, and reminder settings are stored only on your iPhone. They're not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
Anonymous diagnostics and usage statistics
The app uses Google Firebase to help us find bugs and understand which features are used:
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): when the app crashes, it sends technical details such as the device model, iOS version, app version, and the code location of the crash.
- Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics): anonymous events such as which screens are opened.
This data isn't linked to your identity. We don't use it for advertising, we have turned off Google's advertising and data-sharing features, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy terms: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Calendar data
To show each day's fasting rules, saints, and readings, the app requests calendar data from orthocal.info. Those requests contain only the date and calendar type. Like any website, orthocal.info can see your device's IP address when the app connects.
Purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment information. We only learn whether the widget unlock has been purchased so we can turn it on.
Notifications
Daily reminders are scheduled on your device. No notification data is sent to us.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page and change the effective date above.
